A catch-all email mailbox is one that collects all the email messages sent to nonexistent addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss messages because the other party has an obsolete email address or has made a spelling error. The drawback of setting up a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of spam emails, but this issue can be rectified by using anti-spam protection software. It is also essential to keep in mind that a mailbox with an active catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming email messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Configuring a catch-all mailbox will be rather easy if you have a Linux cloud package with us. You can enable this feature through our powerful, albeit easy-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is built into the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will administer your web hosting account. You will find all the email addresses that you’ve created listed in alphabetical order and to the right of each of them there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously notify you if a particular mailbox stores all the emails pertaining to a certain domain or not. With one mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature at any time. If there’s activated email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a certain domain name, you’ll receive a warning message from our system. The latter won’t disable/replace anything automatically and without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all email address can be created with a couple of clicks if you’ve got a semi-dedicated package with us. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be administered through our custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to set up email addresses under any domain name registered here. To enable the catch-all functionality for a certain mailbox, you will need to click on the icon with the exact same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox. Disabling this functionality can be done in the exact same manner and will not require more than a click either. In case a catch-all mailbox has already been activated for a particular domain, you will get a notification. The same goes if the mailbox that you would like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never deactivate or change any feature automatically.
